The University of Colorado Boulder’s Office of Health & Wellness Services is providing students with strategies for “coping with climate anxiety,” according to a tip received through Young America’s Foundation’s Campus Bias Tip Line.
A university resource page claims that “more than two-thirds of Americans experience some form of climate anxiety,” and goes on to offer six strategies that students can employ when feelings of “ecological distress” set in.
Students are advised to contact legislators demanding action, reduce the amount of meat they eat, have conversations with family and friends about “climate change,” and donate money, among other suggestions.
At the same time, the university warns that “working on too many climate projects or advocating for too many causes can be unwieldy,” and advises that students take occasional breaks from climate news and speak with friends, family members, and counselors to develop coping skills.
Support resources, including a “Climate Café,” which is described as a “confidential space to explore your varied responses to the climate crisis,” are also listed.
“Climate anxiety,” a product of the Left’s alarmist propaganda machine, seems to be a growing phenomenon – not only among students, but also NASA scientists. A recent NBC News article profiled NASA’s Peter Kalmus, who is so concerned about the planet’s supposedly imminent demise that he spends much of his free time meditating by the waterfront and chaining himself to Chase Bank buildings in order to cope with his grief.
Despite what the Left would like people to believe, a recent national survey of high school and college students, commissioned by Young America’s Foundation and conducted by Echelon Insights, found that environmental concerns are far from the top of the list of issues that matter the most to young people.
Instead of encouraging students to engage in pointless and often disruptive protests, attend confidential climate counseling sessions, and spend countless hours worrying about things that are far beyond anyone’s control, the university should teach students the truth by distributing Young America’s Foundation’s “Save the Earth from Environmental Alarmism!” guide, which succinctly and effectively debunks the most notorious lies of the Left.
