The University of Michigan is currently enrolling students in its “Certificate in Dismantling Oppression” program, according to a tip received through Young America’s Foundation’s Campus Bias Tip Line. Priced at $525 and starting in September, this program is designed to indoctrinate students and professionals into a radical framework focused on “systemic oppression” and social justice, with an emphasis on anti-whiteness.
UMich’s School of Social Work describes the certificate program as “a multi-faceted curriculum aimed at challenging power and eradicating colonialism.” According to the program’s syllabus, “working towards social justice requires the intentional development of diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture by intervening at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels.” The certificate is open for enrollment to individuals in all fields.
One of the program’s instructors, Moss Herberholz, truly embodies the radical leftist underpinnings of this certificate. Herberholz works as a “kink therapist” at the Radical Well-Being Center in Southfield, MI, specializing in psychedelics and “adventure therapy.”
A recent graduate of the University of Michigan, he states on his website, “I treat every person with dignity and respect because every person deserves to thrive. I believe that Black Lives Matter and quality mental healthcare should be accessible to everyone. I hope to see an end to the racist war on drugs in my lifetime, and understand the use of substances and/or behaviors through a harm reduction lens.”
The University of Michigan is once again proving itself to be a breeding ground for leftism. As previously reported by the New Guard, the school runs an anti-police “Campus Abolition Research Lab” and once spent $20,000 on the purchase of sexually explicit books to be distributed to minors.
