Alejandro Flores serves as YAF’s Capitol Hill outreach director, ensuring the Foundation’s work is shared with key members of Congress and allies throughout the Washington, D.C., area.
Prior to returning to the Foundation, Alejandro worked for Congressman Tom McClintock as his office manager and district representative. Before joining the McClintock team, Alejandro served as a program officer for campus advancement at YAF for nearly two years, assisting chapters nationwide and ensuring they had the resources needed to be effective campus activists and to challenge left-wing narratives on campus. During the summer of 2022, he was a William & Berniece Grewcock scholar at YAF’s National Headquarters.
During college, Alejandro founded a YAF chapter after attending the 41st annual National Conservative Student Conference. With the Foundation’s assistance, Alejandro and the chapter filed a First Amendment lawsuit against the university. As a result of the successful litigation, the school agreed to reform its free speech policies and paid more than $300,000 in legal fees and compensation.
In his free time, Alejandro enjoys reading the writings of the Early Church Fathers and the Desert Fathers. He also enjoys spending time in the kitchen, developing new recipes for the weekly young adult group at his parish.
