Clare Hinshaw serves as the Legacy Society & Development Relations Director at YAF’s national headquarters.

In this role, Clare works to foster relationships with Young America’s Foundation’s most committed supporters, drafts and edits communications, and organizes the Foundation’s annual Be Not Afraid Seminar for students at Catholic schools.

Clare was raised on Long Island, New York, where her parents instilled her with conservative values from an early age.

When she left home to attend Franciscan University of Steubenville, Clare was instrumental in starting a YAF chapter on her campus. After getting the club started, she served as vice president and editor of the group’s monthly newsletter, The Franciscan Conservative.  Under Clare’s leadership the chapter hosted the largest speaking event on campus featuring Speaker Newt Gingrich and his wife, Callista Gingrich, as well as participating in the Foundation’s 9/11: Never Forget Project and Freedom Week activism initiatives.

Clare was the host of the third season of the television program Book.ed on ShalomWorld TV and was a fellow with the Leonine Forum for the 2021-2022 session
