Damaris Martinez serves as Operations Coordinator for the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home in Dixon, Illinois, where she oversees daily operations, assists with the coordination local special events, and in coordination with YAF leadership, helps lead ongoing restoration, preservation, and maintenance efforts at the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home, as well as the Ronald Reagan Birthplace in Tampico. She works closely with YAF management and staff, volunteers, contractors, and local allies to ensure that future generations can experience and learn from the sites where Ronald Reagan spent his formative years.

As a child growing up in California, Damaris was deeply influenced by her mother's experience under Fidel Castro's Communist regime in Cuba. Her grandfather spent 21 years as a political prisoner before immigrating to the United States, where he often warned that the policies he had experienced firsthand should never take root in America. Those lessons left a lasting impression on Damaris and helped shape her interest in public affairs and civic engagement.

Damaris became active in the conservative movement in 2008, educating others about the proposed bank bailouts and volunteering for a political campaign. After a 23-year career in the legal field, she chose to pursue work that would allow her to play a more direct role in preserving American history, promoting civic education, and serving her community.

Today, she enjoys building relationships with visitors and local community members, assisting with YAF’s programs and events, and helping ensure that every guest has a welcoming and memorable experience. Outside of work, Damaris enjoys gardening, oil painting, and spending time with her family.
