Gabriela Telles serves on the finance team, supporting daily financial operations. She brings more than a decade of experience in nonprofit finance, operations, and communications, with a focus on accuracy, organization, and mission impact.
Before joining YAF, Gabriela worked in a global nonprofit dedicated to financial assistance and education for military members and their families. As a local office director, she led financial education initiatives, analyzed financial trends, and developed resource-based training to strengthen financial stability, command support, and donor relations. She later transitioned to a headquarters-based communications role, where she supported over 50 directors in outreach across 100 locations worldwide. In this role, she managed content strategy, communications, and analytics to expand the organization's reach and impact.
Gabriela first learned about Young America's Foundation following the 2016 election, during a period when free speech controversies; particularly at college campuses such as the University of California, Berkeley, which brought national attention to the cancellation of conservative speakers. While exploring this issue, she came across a historic video of Ronald Reagan addressing a similar campus free-speech challenge during his time as governor, which led her to discover YAF’s active role in defending free expression and bringing conservative ideas and speakers to campuses.
She is actively involved in her Catholic community and is passionate about supporting conservative, faith-based education, strengthening family life and the principles of free speech.
