Jessica serves as chief operating officer at Young America’s Foundation.
She works directly with YAF’s president, Governor Scott Walker, helping to manage YAF’s overall operations and nationwide team. In this capacity, she communicates the Foundation’s goals and initiatives with YAF’s entire team, board members, and key stakeholders. Jessica also assists Governor Walker with long-term strategic planning and growth, which includes preserving YAF’s organizational culture and mission.
Jessica oversees daily operations at YAF’s National Headquarters and Capitol Hill Townhouse. She coordinates YAF’s board meetings, manages general staffing needs, and produces YAF’s monthly and annual reports for our top supporters. She coordinates the Foundation’s yearly cruises with our top supporters and key conservative leaders.
Throughout her two decades with YAF, Jessica has also served as assistant to the president, vice president and chief of staff, and editor of the Foundation’s magazine, Libertas—producing 40 issues.
She oversaw the construction and design of the Foundation’s national headquarters in Reston, Virginia, in 2014. Jessica managed the acquisition and design of YAF’s Capitol Hill Townhouse in 2018.
Jessica is originally from Hibbing, Minnesota—the heart of Minnesota’s Iron Range—and a graduate of The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. While at St. Scholastica, she served as state co-chair of the Minnesota College Republicans.
During college, Jessica interned in the White House’s Office of Media Affairs for President George W. Bush. Jessica graduated summa cum laude from St. Scholastica with a degree in English.
She became involved with the Foundation upon attending the annual Thomas Phillips Student Luncheon at CPAC.
Prior to joining the Young America’s Foundation staff, Jessica worked for the College Republican National Committee and was director of public relations for Accuracy in Media and Accuracy in Academia. Jessica is a recipient of the Young Conservatives Coalition’s William F. Buckley Jr. Award.
She and her husband reside in Alexandria, Virginia, with their son, Jackson, and furry best friends, Bella and Maverick.
