Kody McLain joined Young America’s Foundation as an assistant curator at the Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara, California.
Growing up in Simi Valley, California, home of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, sparked his interest in history, the Conservative Movement, and the museum field.
Kody obtained his BA in history from Westmont College, focusing on the Civil and Cold Wars.
He continued his education at Johns Hopkins University, where he received his MA in museum studies in 2021. Following graduation, Kody spent time as curator at the Imperial Valley Desert Museum in Ocotillo, California, and as the education and outreach coordinator at the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art in Santa Barbara.
Kody is excited to work at the Reagan Ranch and Reagan Boyhood Home. As assistant curator, he will develop exhibitions, conduct oral interviews, and assist with artifact research and preservation to further the understanding and appreciation of one of the greatest Presidents of the United States.
