Michelle Hedrick serves as the office manager at Young America’s Foundation.
Prior to joining the Young America’s Foundation, Michelle most recently served in the George Mason University Office of the Provost. Before that, she was the office manager at a private classical education school in Arlington, Virginia. While raising her children, she worked as a substitute teacher in the Fairfax County Public Schools. Additionally, while living overseas during her husband’s military career, Michelle had the honor of working with the U.S. Army in various contract and volunteer positions, in addition to working and volunteering at American international schools in India and Bangladesh, and for the American Red Cross in South Korea.
Throughout her husband’s military career and after, Michelle has been an active community volunteer. She held executive volunteer positions with the Fairfax County Republican Committee, in addition to volunteering for the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, at her children’s schools, and for local and national elections.
Michelle attended the University of New Mexico, where she earned her Bachelor of University Studies with an emphasis in orchestra management. She also earned a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. While Michelle’s original career focus was orchestra management, her global experiences reshaped her career path.
Michelle and her husband reside in Fairfax, Virginia, where they raised their two children, Moira and Charles.
