Fellow conservatives,
Once again, the principles we hold dear prevailed at the ballot box as President Donald Trump and other conservative leaders championing individual freedom, a strong national defense, free enterprise, and traditional values won out over radical leftists and their plans to undermine our country’s founding ideals.
These conservative principles were revolutionary when America was born, guided America to become the strongest nation on earth, and they remain true — and in demand — today. No election, whatever the outcome, will change this.
While this week’s result will be hailed as a victory for conservatives, our ideas have always been superior to the Left’s flawed and failed schemes.
In the days, months, and years ahead, your work advancing freedom’s principles is more important than ever. You will see your beliefs and ideas challenged more aggressively by your peers, teachers, school leaders, mainstream media, public officials, and culture.
The Left does not give up. They will continue their relentless attacks on conservative ideas and those who advance them. Now is not the time for us to rest or take it easy. We need to be just as — and even more — relentless in defending and advancing our proven principles.
It is vital that young conservatives continue to be courageous advocates for America’s founding principles, and with support from Young America’s Foundation you can do exactly that — starting right now:
Just as YAF has done for more than six decades, we will do everything we can to make sure you and your chapter prevail on campus — just as we helped Ronald Reagan advance conservative ideas through a national radio program, built the modern Conservative Movement as the foot soldiers of the Reagan Revolution, and became the “conservative force” at schools nationwide.
With YAF’s support, you have more power and potential as a young conservative leader. Unlike the politicians in D.C., you have the unique ability to interact directly with your peers, inspire them with our ideas, and recruit them to join freedom’s cause at a time where their beliefs are still being developed. By boldly sharing conservative ideas, you have the opportunity to make a difference among your peers during the most formative years of their lives.
In a speech to YAF, Ronald Reagan told YAF activists “remember your very title — you are Young Americans for Freedom. That is your mission above all others. You are the most important in this particular moment in history, because so many of your peers have listened to false prophets and demagogues.”
“Consider very carefully the long hard struggle that lies ahead, and how far we’ve traveled together to reach this moment of hope for all the things we believe in,” Reagan added in his address to YAF students.
Now is the time to be bold, strong, and more active than ever before.
