Linda E. McMahon, sworn in as the 13th U.S. Secretary of Education on March 3, 2025, brings decades of experience in business, public service, and education policy. Her career spans leadership roles at WWE, the Small Business Administration, the America First Policy Institute, the Connecticut State Board of Education, and Sacred Heart University. As Secretary, she focuses on expanding school choice, empowering teachers, strengthening career and technical education, and returning education oversight to the states.
Through partnerships, visiting schools and families, record breaking investment in Charter Schools Programs, investment in programs that better service students, delivering the largest national expansion of education freedom in history, and by encouraging and supporting state’s education programs through guidance and funding, the U.S. Department of Education under Secretary McMahon is succeeding in the Department’s final mission.
At the October Wendy P. McCaw Reagan Ranch Roundtable, Secretary McMahon will be joined by longtime San Diego radio host and member of the Reagan Ranch Board of Governors Mark Larson for an on-stage conversation on the many accomplishments achieved in year one and the goals ahead.
