The federal government imposes royalties on radio broadcasters for the music they play. Recently, the board negotiated a special rate with NPR but charged religious radio stations phenomenally greater rates. This is an imposition on free speech and seems to be based on the content of the speech – a truly pernicious practice. YAF has asked the Supreme Court to find the board failed to justify this disparity.
