When Congress considered a rule that would enhance free speech protections for nonprofit groups, YAF urged Congress to adopt the measure. YAF has long fought for the privacy of the American public. The proposed law would codify Supreme Court cases NAACP v Alabama and AFP v. Bonta that prevent the government from forcing nonprofit groups to share the identity of financial supporters, thus protecting both groups and supporters from un-American targeting by the IRS or the media.
