When YAF returned to Madison with Ben Shapiro (after a tumultuous but successful Walsh last year) administrators presented shifting rules for protestors. In a backwards decision, the same administrator who had posted a public statement against the Walsh event was somehow the person in charge of the Shapiro event – and the one changing the rules. YAF legal worked with outside counsel and school counsel to obtain written assurances of how protests would be handled. Protestors convened outside, and Shapiro spoke to a full room.
