Judge James Ho stated last week that he will no longer be hiring law students from Yale in his office due to the institution’s “woke” university practices, according to a report by Above the Law.
The Fifth Circuit judge stated, “Yale not only tolerates the cancellation of views, it actively practices it.”
Judge Ho has called for other members of the legal field to do the same and to help develop the careers of young conservatives instead of students from woke universities. 12 judges have suggested that they are on board with Judge Ho’s plan.
If other conservative judges continue to not hire Yale law students, the could be damaging to Yale Law Schools top tier rating in the U.S. News and World Report that they have held for years.
It is time that conservatives in all professions stand for their beliefs and continue to hold members of their community accountable for harmful woke policies. If Yale and other universities continue to promote wokeness over education, many colleges and universities might have issues with students struggling to find jobs after graduation.
Just this year, Michael Knowles visited his alma mater with his podcast “The Verdict with Ted Cruz” featuring Texas Senator Ted Cruz and powerhouse podcast host Liz Wheeler.
“Since the 1950s, my alma mater has earned a reputation as a hotbed of liberal mania,” Michael Knowles told Young America’s Foundation.
Knowles continues, “But four years in Yale’s small-but-mighty conservative underbelly immunized me to the fashionable progressivism of my classmates and left me slightly to the right of Genghis Khan. It’s a great honor and privilege to be invited back a decade after graduation to help usher a whole new generation of promising young Yalies into America’s vast right-wing conspiracy.”
In 2021, Yale attempted to force a Native American student to apologize for “triggering” other students and making a “mockery of black people” for co-hosting a Constitution Day celebration with the Federalist Society. At least nine students formally complained to the Associate Dean and Diversity Director about this celebration.
As we continue to see colleges and universities exposed for woke policies and cancel culture, we will continue to hold our institutions accountable.
