Young America’s Foundation is excited to announce that registration is now open for our next Middle School Expedition in Washington, D.C., which will be hosted at the Museum of the Bible on May 31 and June 1.
This expedition explores the truths about our nation’s founding and the opportunities that define America. Dr. Michael Clark from Hillsdale College will share invaluable insights into economic freedom, complementing various activities designed to deepen students’ understanding of America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and its foundational values.
Not only will this program provide young students with a unique educational experience, but it will also strategically equip them to stand up and be bold as they prepare to enter high school and college. By reaching students at a younger age, YAF is effectively countering the Left’s agenda in education and empowering students to embrace conservative ideas from an even earlier stage of their intellectual development.
“I’m excited about this opportunity to connect young minds with the fundamental principle of religious freedom,” remarked Tawny Kilpper, YAF’s middle school program director. “This generation must grasp the significance of this freedom as it is the key that unlocks all the other freedoms we hold dear.”
“The Museum of the Bible is more than just a venue for one of our transformative programs,” she added. “It’s buzzing with stories and history, the perfect spot to roll out our content. Seeing light bulbs go on as these kids connect with their freedoms on a whole new level will be fantastic.”
The 430,000-square-foot museum, located just blocks away from the U.S. Capitol and the National Mall, boasts one of the largest collections of ancient biblical codices, scrolls, and papyri, along with thousands of other historic artifacts and exhibit items.
Students will also have the opportunity to tour nearby monuments.
This two-day program is open to up to 50 students currently in, entering, or recently graduated from grades 6-8. Travel and lodging assistance is available for students; parents and siblings are welcome to attend the opening dinner and closing session.
