A middle school for “queer” 11-13 year-olds is opening in Phoenix this fall, according to a local news report.
The school, a project of leftist activism group “one•n•ten,” will receive funding through taxpayer-funded vouchers in the amount of approximately $6,500 per student.

One•n•ten CEO Nate Rhoton claims that his organization’s “Queer Blended Learning Center” will be a “lifesaving” resource for children.
The learning environment will reportedly follow a one-room schoolhouse model, with LGBTQ+ history and activism being core parts of the curriculum.
While students who identify as members of the “LGBTQ+ community” are expected to make up the majority of the school’s enrollment, one•n•ten encourages “cisgender” and “straight” children to enroll as well.
Of course, it is wrong for parents – and this leftist organization – to believe that 11-13 year-olds are capable of choosing a sexuality and “gender identity.” To center a student’s middle school experience around these supposed characteristics only makes things worse.
Let kids be kids.
