Join us on an expedition to the Reagan Ranch! Rancho del Cielo symbolizes our 40th President’s character and belief in the American Dream. His beloved ranch home was the “Western White House” during Reagan’s presidency.
On this adventure, students will:
Our one-day program starts and ends at our learning center in downtown Santa Barbara. Middle school students will gain insight into the ideas that shaped President Reagan. With Dr. Michael Clark, students will learn the effectiveness of free-market principles. They will grapple with important questions about American history with Kali Fontanilla.Students will emerge with an understanding of the aspects that make America exceptional. They will appreciate how Reagan transformed the nation and the world and how they can do the same. Students will return from the Middle School Expedition ready to make a difference.
This educational program begins at 9:00 a.m., October 21, 2023, and concludes at 4:30 p.m. at 217 State Street, Santa Barbara.
Optional Add-On! Parents and students may join us for dinner on Friday, October 20, 7:00 p.m.– $20 per adult, students and siblings free. Open to the entire family! Join our banquet dinner that is a part of our High School Conference. Get a glimpse of future programming available to YAF students. Hear from Daniel Di Martino, Venezuelan freedom activist and economist. He has an important story to share about growing up in Venezuela. Learn how socialism destroyed his country and why that matters to Americans today. |

WHAT’S INCLUDED? The registration fee of $30 includes Saturday lunch, educational materials, and transportation to and from the Reagan Ranch for students. The dinner, available to the entire family is $20 per adult, students and siblings are free.
ARE PARENTS INVOLVED? Parents are invited to the optional Friday dinner and to the special concluding session on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
IS TUITION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE? Tuition assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis for those with demonstrable financial need. Please check the Frequently Asked Questions below for instructions about how to apply.
WHAT IF WE ARE TRAVELING FROM OUT OF TOWN? While travel assistance is never guaranteed, Young America’s Foundation will gladly consider all completed requests to alleviate the cost of student flights and hotel stays. Travel assistance may be available case-by-case for those with financial need, and please check the Frequently Asked Questions below for instructions about how to apply. All registered students have access to a discounted room block at a local hotel.
